The relationships page draws less, and stays smooth up close
Moving the pointer over relationships and turning types on and off no longer rebuild the whole 3D scene, entries stay smooth when you zoom in on the full network, names follow the layout once it settles, and the 2D view opens sooner.
- Hovering a relationship recolours just that line. Before, every enter and leave rebuilt every relationship line in the scene, which could stall slower computers on the full network. A chosen relationship is still drawn thicker; a hovered one is now recoloured rather than thickened.
- Turning a type on or off (people, places, events) keeps the entries and relationships that stay. Only what comes or goes is built or removed, and in a smaller view the entries stay where they were.
- Zooming in on the full network shows round spheres and round relationship lines again. To stay light, the full network draws distant people with fewer facets. It used to keep doing so up close, so a chosen person framed near the camera showed an eight-sided outline. Now the shape is picked by distance.
- Names follow the layout when it finishes settling, even if the camera stays where it was. Rarely, they used to stay missing until the camera moved.
- When the 3D view cannot run, the 2D view of the full network opens about a quarter sooner. It used to style every entry and relationship twice before showing anything.
